***Thermography In The News***

Clinical Thermography Ltd and breast thermography as a service have been covered extensively in the New Zealand media and have been portrayed in a negative light. The statements in the media about the use of thermography as a "breast cancer screening or diagnosis tool" are incorrect and misleading, suggesting that Clinical Thermography Ltd is promoting its service in this way. As our patients and supporters are well aware, our service is not promoted in this way.

In fact, the correct information about how thermography is promoted has been provided to both the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation and the Ministry of Health's National Screening Unit. For some reason, this information has been completely ignored.

Thermography, Mammography or Ultrasound? - by Alexander Mostovoy, H.D., D.H.M.S., B.C.C.T.

One of the questions I am most frequently asked is: "What exactly is the difference between mammography, ultrasound and thermography?"  There seems to be some confusion on this subject by thinking that one replaces the other as tests, but nothing could be further from the truth. Fybrocystic Breast Disease - by Alexander Mostovoy, H.D., D.H.M.S., B.C.C.T.

As a clinical breast thermographer I see more and more fibrocystic breast cases than any other abnormality of the breast. Cysts are likely to develop in women ages 30 to 50; however I am seeing this condition increasingly in younger and younger women. We have to ask the question: "what is contributing to the rise of this condition so early in life, and what would happen to these women over the years if they continue on this path and the condition is left unchecked?". Breast Cancer - Before There Is A Lump - by Alexander Mostovoy, H.D., D.H.M.S., B.C.C.T.

Lumps and other breast abnormalities generally don't appear overnight. Long before they are discovered by film or fingers their cellular contributors are hard at work. Cancer cells send out a chemical message to the surrounding area and require a supply of blood to flourish and survive. Being aggressive, they create their own pathways to obtain this nourishment. Neither self-examinations nor mammograms can detect this invisible early cellular process, which usually occurs in the breast from five to even ten years before a lump grows large enough to become visible or palpable - click here to continue reading.
